…If you’ve ever had the opportunity to meet Judge Sise and you didn’t immediately like him, I suggest you were either being sentenced by him for a crime you really didn’t commit or you have a very difficult time forming positive first impressions about people in general. Personally, I enjoy hearing him speak in public and I always read his rationale for the judicial decisions he’s made that were significant enough to get covered in the local media. He is always respectful and well prepared and also firm when he needs to be firm. I remember how clearly he signaled to the Mayor of Amsterdam and the city’s Common Council to settle their ongoing squabble about who should be the golf pro at Amsterdam’s Municipal Golf Course. You could tell he was not exactly happy spending his or his court’s valuable time on an issue that responsible adults should have been able to solve amongst themselves….
